What is DigiScript?
DigiScript, Inc., a privately held company, specializes in capturing
live presentations, making them available on demand via the Internet
and/or CD-ROM. We help corporations, associations, and higher education
institutions enhance and extend learning and marketing events for training,
product management, continuing education, clinical trials, and any other
project where sharing detailed information is vital to success. To learn
more about DigiScript, read our About
DigiScript page.
How can our company benefit from DigiScript? Back
to Top
We’d like to explore this more with you! It may be that we can
provide a significant cost savings in the way you currently deploy learning
events. Maybe we can assist in extending your valuable message to hundreds
or thousands of geographically distributed participants. Or maybe we
can provide an archived digital library of your content for generations
to come. The possibilities seem limitless…at least to us. Contact
Us today, and let’s get started.
What types of hardware or software do we need to host and
serve the DigiScript technology? Back
to Top
None. Our streaming technology is served and managed via a network of
more than 8,000 servers worldwide. This robust global network ensures
that your content is delivered on demand - 24 hours a day and 7 days
a week. Customizable options on the console, as well as the web site
we develop for you that "houses" your content, helps end users
experience a seamless transition to your events.
What systems requirements do we and our end users need to view
an online
DigiScripted event? Back
to Top
To view the DigiScript platform you will need to have the Microsoft
Windows Media Player Version 7 and Internet Explorer installed on your
computer. We are also MAC compatible, using OS 9.1, Windows Media Player
7.1, and Netscape 4.7. Cookies and JavaScript must also be enabled in
your browser settings (these are usually "on" by default,
unless you've manually changed them).
What happens if our end users experience technical difficulties
while
trying to access our DigiScripted event? Back
to Top
We have an excellent customer and technical support staff that can be
accessed by phone, email, or even “Live Chat” with a real
person (this real-time Internet dialogue is a supplemental support service
to your DigiScripted event).
Do we need broadband Internet access to view our online events?
Back
to Top
This depends on the level of streaming audio and video you need to appropriately
DigiScript your event. For example, in order to experience both audio
and video, broadband access is most effective. But if you only utilize
audio, those with lower Internet connection speeds, like 56k, can experience
your DigiScripted event just fine.
I know that our company or organization has a firewall. Does
this have an effect on accessing our DigiScripted event? Back
to Top
In the unlikely event that we do run into firewall problems, we can
work with your systems administrator to remedy any and all firewall
issues. We have many resources to apply to this solution, all very successful.
If we use a Learning Management System, can DigiScripted
events be integrated? Back
to Top
Yes. We work with many clients that have a Learning Management System
already in place. DigiScripted content can be seamlessly integrated
with little difficulty.
We have shelves of content that has already been captured.
Can
it be DigiScripted? Back
to Top
Absolutely. We call this “repurposing” and we’ve turned
hundreds of hours of VHS, SVHS, DV Cam, MiniDV, and Beta into web-ready,
DigiScripted content.
Your user interface includes different “windows”
for audio/video, transcription,
PowerPoint® presentations, and table of contents. What if we don’t
need
all of those? Back
to Top
We have several different console configurations that are adapted to
different types of media you require. Audio/video, PowerPoint®,
transcription, and table of contents windows can all be featured and
de-featured, with other customizable solutions available.
Can the “look and feel” of our corporate identity
be applied to
DigiScript products? Back
to Top
Yes. Color schemes, logos, buttons, and other features can be customized
to follow your branding conventions.
We’ve never done anything like this before. How do we
educate our end users about DigiScript services? Back
to Top
We understand that connecting your DigiScripted event to your end user
is critical. That’s when our experienced Marketing Team can really
help out. Whether it’s email, direct mail, print ads, websites,
or just consultation services, we have years of experience to identify
and implement a creative solution.
Is there any other way to present our DigiScripted event besides
the Internet? Back
to Top
Sure. Your DigiScripted event can easily be delivered on CD-ROM. We
have a complete production process that accommodates this need.
We don’t want anyone else to view our content on the Internet?
How can you ensure this doesn’t happen? Back
to Top
Our registration process can restrict only those users whom you’ve
identified to have the ability to log in to your DigiScripted event.
This can include particular email addresses, IP addresses, or a distinctive
ID number.
After our event has been captured, how long will it take before
we can view it online? What about CD-ROMs? Back
to Top
This, again, depends on the solution you request. Audio, video, transcription,
and PowerPoint® slides may take a bit longer to produce than just
a still image with audio plus PowerPoint® slides. Rest assured we
pride ourselves on the most rapid deployment possible, and we’re
up to any challenge you can throw our way.
Are there particular products and services that have to be purchased
together? Or can we select solutions a la carte? Back
to Top
DigiScript is a client-centric company, creating solutions that make
the most sense to you, our client. You can rely on our expertise to
guide you in creating a solution set that best suits your needs, or
create your own bundle of services. We’re flexible.
